Hands on Physiotherapy

A diverse range of manual hands-on physiotherapy skills are used to treat various joint and muscle impairments identified from thorough assessments. These include joint mobilisation, spinal manipulation, soft tissue techniques, massage and many other manual techniques to facilitate a fast recovery.

Personalised Exercises

Our physiotherapists will work with you to design a rehabilitation exercise program specific to your needs to aid faster recovery and develop a self-management approach to treatment to keep you going for longer.

Acupuncture & Dry Needling

Acupuncture and dry needling has been shown to have beneficial effects in reducing muscle tension and pain, stimulating healing, reducing inflammation and improving joint range of motion. Our physiotherapists utilise both Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling techniques to assist in the treatment of a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Physiotherapy Exercise (P.Ex) Classes

(formally named “Strength & Fitness” and “Clinical Pilates” Classes)

We can tailor a Physiotherapy Exercise program to your specific needs and goals in order to help you achieve the most out of your body. Our initial consultation involves a thorough injury history and biomechanical assessment along with setting up your injury, strength, fitness and/or weight loss goals. Followed by one-on-one exercise instruction sessions to establish and instruct your personalised program, after which you will then be able to continue your exercises by joining one of our P.Ex classes (maximum of 6 people) run and supervised by one of our trained physiotherapists.

Medical Conditions

Our physiotherapists can improve your quality of life by helping you manage aches and pains and associated symptoms of common medical conditions such as:

  • Diabetes
  • Inflammatory Arthropathies (Rheumatoid & Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis)
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Osteoporosis
  • Hypermobility
  • Scoliosis

Pre- and Post-Surgical Management

With the correct exercises, combined with hands-on treatment, physiotherapy can help reduce post-surgical pain and recovery time from orthopaedic procedures such as joint replacements, ligament reconstructions, and arthroscopes for shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle joints, amongst others.

Ante- and Post-Natal Injury Management

Pregnancy places a large amount of stress on the body’s muscles, joints and ligaments which can create pain and discomfort, particularly around the neck, back and pelvis. Physiotherapy treatment can assist with management of these aches and pains in a safe and secure manner and can also improve post natal recovery.

In Addition…

Our physiotherapists can provide and recommend the use of various braces and straps to help your condition, as well as offering advice on standard taping and kinesiotaping techniques, posture education, management of chronic pain, and much, much more…
